Sina Fattahi, founder of Roxbi Capital in 2023, has spent more than three years searching for a great UK company to acquire. His perseverance and resilience have paid off, as he has just announced the acquisition of Twickenham Plating Group (TPG), a leading UK provider of technical plating services. The transaction, with an enterprise value of less than €10M and acquisition financing provided by Arbuthnot Latham, was backed by Vonzeo Capital and Cabiedes Capital as lead investors.
TPG is a UK-based specialist technical plating company with a history dating back to 1947. The company provides high-performance surface finishing solutions to engineering companies and OEMs across demanding industries, including electronics, telecommunications, aerospace, defence and automotive. Its capabilities include gold, silver, palladium/nickel, electroless nickel and zinc-nickel plating, as well as selective, reel-to-reel, barrel and rack plating. TPG combines in-house technical expertise, process development and metallurgical testing to deliver bespoke plating solutions for mission-critical applications, with its quality management system certified to AS9100 and ISO 9001. With around 50 employees, the company generates approximately £7M in revenue, with an EBITDA margin of more than 15%.
Sina commented: “TPG has built an outstanding reputation over many decades, supported by a fantastic team and long-standing relationships with its customers and suppliers. I am especially grateful to David and Jonathan for the trust they have placed in us to take TPG forward into its next chapter. I am very excited to be joining the business and look forward to building on the strong foundations they have created and continuing TPG’s success for many years to come.”
