Led by August Svedenstedt and Carl Bergström, childhood friends from Helsingborg who combine almost 20 years of experience in leading and developing Nordic businesses, Norrsund Investments is Sweden’s first traditional search fund. They are strong believers in the Nordic market, where high levels of trust, a dense base of owner-led companies approaching succession, and deep, well-functioning capital markets create an attractive environment to acquire a good business and build it patiently over the long term. The vehicle is backed by Swedish and international investors, including Istria Capital, Ambit Partners, Evolutiq, Pina Capital, and Innesto Partners, among others.
August is an experienced operator and entrepreneur with a strong track record in operations, sales, and last-mile logistics across the Nordics. Most recently, he led Nordic retail and home delivery at AUTO1 Group, and previously served as Managing Director of TIER Mobility Denmark, where he built and managed operations across more than 25 Scandinavian cities. August also co-founded and continues to serve as a board member of a profitable own-brand business, which he has been running since 2014. He began his career at IKEA and Nordea and holds a degree from Copenhagen Business School.
Carl is an experienced management consultant with a strong track record of working with Nordic business owners and management teams. Over the past eight years, he has led more than 30 projects across 10+ industries, focusing on strategy, commercial and operational development, with a particular emphasis on improving profitability through pricing, cost structure, and working capital optimization. Before joining Knowit Capacent, Carl was a Senior Consultant at PriceGain. He holds a Master of Science in Engineering from Luleå University of Technology, including exchange studies in South Korea.
They will acquire and operate a well-run, profitable Swedish company over the long term, while also considering opportunities in Denmark and Norway. They are targeting businesses generating €1–5M in EBITDA, with loyal customers, strong profitability, and EBITDA margins above 20%. Rather than focusing on a particular industry, the team will prioritize business quality and alignment with owners approaching succession.
