Entrepreneur Pierre-Philippe de Bouville partnered last summer with Stanislas Simon-Beaulieu and his firm Cassius Search to launch Jōto Transmission. After less than a year of searching, their ambition to acquire a great French SME has become a reality with the acquisition of myDiabby Healthcare, the French leader in diabetes remote monitoring, whose mission is to make a tangible difference in the care and daily lives of people living with diabetes. The deal involved the French public investment bank Bpifrance, French family offices and entrepreneurs, as well as Aurica Search Fund and EPA Investissements. Rumors reveal that it is one of the biggest deals in the French SF market, and that the EV could be around €40M.
Founded in 2014 by Pierre-Camille Altman and Anastasia Pichereau, myDiabby Healthcare is a French digital health company providing a remote monitoring platform for patients with diabetes. Its medical device enables healthcare professionals to monitor patients remotely, collect and analyse health data, and receive alerts, helping improve the organisation and continuity of diabetes care outside regular consultations. The platform supports patients with type 1 and type 2 diabetes, as well as gestational diabetes, and is designed to integrate data from connected medical devices. myDiabby Healthcare is a Class IIa CE-marked medical device, and its remote monitoring service is reimbursed by the French health insurance system for eligible patients. More than 10,000 healthcare professionals use the platform, and more than 200,000 patients are monitored each year. The company’s turnover is around €10M, with an EBITDA margin above 60%.
This is the first deal completed by an entrepreneur in partnership with Cassius Search, the first French entrepreneurial investment platform focused on SME acquisitions by experienced executives.
Pierre-Philippe de Bouville, new CEO, commented: “When we reached out to the company, we were quickly drawn to its mission, impact and reputation among doctors and patients. The structure and growth of the company were also similar to those of the one I had founded and led in my previous venture, so it was a great match for our software-focused search. We managed to build a strong relationship with the founders, who reinvested in the deal and will help ensure a smooth transition. The objective is to continue growing the platform so that it serves more and more practitioners and patients, while ensuring the compliance of its products and services and maintaining the highest level of user satisfaction.”
