Baptiste Guez and Pierre Nicolet, seasoned entrepreneurs with experience in scaling teams and driving rapid growth, began their search in 2025 via Renovatio Capital. In less than a year, they successfully completed the acquisition of 100% of Groupe Odontys. The transaction brought together 10 investors, including the company’s historical shareholder, who reinvested alongside them. Key participants included Vonzeo Capital, Ambit Partners, ONEtoONE Asset Management, and SF Club among the largest contributors. The financing package combined equity and debt, with the debt structured as a club deal involving CIC, Crédit Mutuel, Crédit Coopératif, and Bpifrance. EV is around €15M.
Groupe Odontys is a French dental care group founded in 2015 by Yoann Pays, operating a network of dental centers and an in-house dental prosthetics laboratory. The group is primarily active in Normandy, with two additional centers in Île-de-France, totaling nine operational sites at the time of the transaction. Revenue exceeded €19M in 2025, supported by strong double-digit year-on-year growth, and the group generates more than €3.5M in EBITDA. It employs over 100 people across its centers, including dentists, dental assistants, medical secretaries, and administrative staff.
Baptiste and Pierre chose to acquire the group for its strong growth potential and the clarity of its model. Its competitive edge lies in a focused strategy of opening and developing dental centers in France’s “medical deserts” — underserved areas where access to care is limited and demand is structurally high. Beyond organic growth, they plan to pursue a build-up strategy by consolidating additional centers to accelerate the network’s expansion and density. The main challenge they anticipate is the other side of this thesis: attracting and retaining qualified practitioners in these remote locations, which will be central to successfully scaling the network.
