In the last quarter of 2023, Narcís Feliu de la Peña and Ariadna Cañellas, both with extensive experience in consulting and finance at Deloitte, partnered to launch Quo Inversión, raising more than half a million euros from investors such as Alza Capital Partners, Cerralvo Capital, Going Investment, Istria Capital, JB46, Turtle Capital, Vonzeo Capital, Gernot Eisinger, Thomas Büehler, Luis Camilleri, Marc Bartomeus, and José María Clotet, among others.
Just before the end of their two-year search period, the entrepreneurs successfully completed the acquisition of Hermex Ibérica, based in Catalonia, one of the leading companies in the school furniture and equipment sector. Details of the transaction remain confidential.
Hermex Ibérica is a well-established company with over 35 years of experience in the design, manufacture, and distribution of school furniture, educational equipment, and didactic materials. With a customer base exceeding 30,000 and more than 3,000 completed school fit-out projects across Spain, the company is recognized for its excellent service, product quality, and logistics capabilities, including a central warehouse and logistics centre of over 2,700 m². Hermex products are designed for professional use in early childhood, primary, and secondary education, as well as in libraries, hospitals, and other educational settings. In 2023, the company reported revenues of €11.5M and an EBITDA of €1.4M.
