In April 2025, Lnkd Capital, led by David To, acquired its first company in the safety training sector, AT Safety Training, for less than 4x EBITDA. Just 15 months later, David has completed a second acquisition, Alberta Construction Training Institute (ACTI), a leading provider of construction, industrial trades, and safety training based in Edmonton, Alberta. The acquisition was completed without additional equity and will increase EBITDA by 30%. The 13 investors supporting the group include Sage Capital Partners, JB46, Hadley Family Office, Scipio, The Cambria Group, Martell Capital Partners, Associés Magnum Capital Partners, Gore Range Ventures, Black Sheep Operations, and Integral.
Founded in 2014, ACTI has built a decade-long reputation for delivering high-quality construction and industrial training to workers across Alberta. Its programs complement AT Safety Training’s existing portfolio while adding capabilities in digital learning and virtual reality-assisted training. ACTI is a key partner to Alberta’s leading trade unions, career colleges, and learning institutions.
“ACTI is a natural fit with what we are building,” said David To, Managing Partner of Lnkd Capital. “The business has a strong reputation and an experienced team. Together, we have an opportunity to serve more customers, broaden our training offering, and continue investing in new ways to make high-quality training more accessible, dynamic, and effective.”
Following the acquisition, the group will serve more than 250,000 workers and learners annually.
