Przemek Krempaszanka founded Bold Capital in the first quarter of 2024 and raised capital from 17 investors, approximately one-third institutional (Italy, Spain, and the US), another third from SF private investors, and the remaining third from Polish investors. After a two-year search, Bold Capital invested in Centrum Medyczne Primus, marking the first healthcare investment in Poland by a SF. Most investors participated in the acquisition, including Marek Jakubów, Novadvice, and SF Club, among others, and mBank provided debt financing. The previous owners, including Krzysztof Wypiór and Bartłomiej Frączek, will remain involved in the company.
CM Primus is a modern healthcare provider in Poland, offering comprehensive medical services through its hospital, specialist outpatient clinics, diagnostic centers, and primary healthcare facilities. The company operates across four locations and is one of the leading healthcare providers in the Silesia region. It delivers high-quality patient care across a wide range of medical specialties, including surgery, orthopedics, gynecology, ophthalmology, cardiology, neurology, rehabilitation, and diagnostic imaging. With a strong focus on innovation, patient safety, and accessibility, CM Primus combines experienced medical professionals with advanced medical technologies to provide efficient, personalized, and integrated healthcare solutions for both public and private patients. Primus employs more than 300 people and generated nearly PLN 54 million (€13M) in revenue. More than 80% of revenue comes from services provided under contracts with Poland’s National Health Fund (NFZ).
Przemek considered three sectors during the search: business services, SaaS, and healthcare, and ultimately chose healthcare because the growing elderly population is increasing demand for healthcare services, while awareness of preventive care and diagnostics is also rising.
Przemek’s strategy focuses on achieving double-digit growth through digitalization, expansion of commercial outpatient and hospital services, and closer cooperation with both NFZ and private insurers. The company plans to grow organically while also consolidating local primary care clinics in surrounding regions to build a stronger integrated healthcare network. Key initiatives include centralizing operations, improving efficiency through economies of scale, expanding diagnostic and specialist services, and supporting physician succession by taking over administration and settlements so doctors can focus on clinical care.
