Guided by the values of continuity, human commitment, and responsible succession, Ghislaine Alami, an experienced entrepreneur-operator, founded Altera Transmission to search for and acquire a French SME. The name reflects this purpose: “Altera” from the Latin “the other,” symbolizes her role as a committed and respectful successor, while “Transmission” underscores her determination to ensure a responsible and enduring handover, far removed from purely financial logic. She is backed by 15 entrepreneur-investors, including Istria Capital, Relay Investments, Legate Partners, Arada Capital, Secways, and Legacy Partners.
With nearly 20 years of experience, Ghislaine brings a rare combination of financial acumen and entrepreneurial execution, giving her a 360° view of the challenges of business succession. Most recently, she served as Deputy CEO of Blink Materials, a B2B logistics company, where she played a pivotal role in building the company from the ground up, scaling it to a team of 50+ employees and achieving a turnover of €20M. Before that, she led international expansion at Nareva Holding, a major renewable energy developer. She began her career at Merrill Lynch, where she gained foundational expertise in corporate finance and M&A. She then spent a few years in leveraged finance at BNP Paribas, gaining hands-on experience in structuring and executing complex financings. Following this, she joined ECP, a leading private equity firm focused on Africa. During her 10 years at ECP, she built a strong investment track record, originating opportunities and managing more than 10 transactions across diverse industries. She also served on boards and executive committees, successfully overseeing exits and gaining deep insight into both operational and transactional challenges. Ghislaine holds a degree in Finance from HEC Paris.
Today, through Altera Transmission, she is looking to acquire a French SME with €2–6M EBITDA, positive cash flow, and low capex requirements. While taking an industry-agnostic approach, she will prioritize niche industries with strong fundamentals and opportunities for operational improvement—sectors where she can capitalize on her experience—such as logistics and supply chain, B2B waste collection and processing, or energy and infrastructure services.
By combining entrepreneurial drive, financial expertise, and a deep sense of responsibility, Altera Transmission is committed to ensuring a lasting and meaningful transition for one outstanding French SME.
