In mid-2022, Claudio Castronuovo and Luca Grattarola launched AdAstra Partners and raised €600k from a pool of 17 specialized investors, including successful entrepreneurs and Italian and foreign HNWIs such as Search Fund Club, Luca Rancilio, Ambit Capital, Istria Capital, Alza Capital, and Till Bossert. In less than 18 months, they successfully managed to finalize their quest, acquiring the Italian software company Link.it.
Born as a spin-off of the University of Pisa, Link.it works on innovative solutions for API infrastructures in the field of application interoperability of the Italian and European Public Administration (SPCoop and CEF eDelivery). Its solutions have become the de facto standard for Italian eGovernment API Management. Although the company has a modest turnover, less than €5M, it benefits from a significant EBITDA margin, exceeding 50%.
