Raised in Houston, Texas, Mike Peng was inspired from an early age by his father, a serial entrepreneur, who instilled in him the drive to build something greater than himself while making a meaningful impact on others. Guided by these values, he went on to found Weatherstone Capital Partners, a SF specializing in service-based business models across the healthcare, industrial, and consumer sectors. In his search for the right American SME, he is backed by an exceptional group of investors who collectively manage over $300M in capital and have invested in more than 100 companies. These include Cerralvo Capital, Maven Equity Partners, Peterson Partners, Heritage Holding, Search Fund Partners, Endurance Search Partners, BK Growth, Brown Robin Partners, The Nashton Company, and Mazal Capital.
Mike began his career as a management consultant at McKinsey & Company, where he specialized in strategy and commercial due diligence. He later led growth initiatives at Block Renovation, a venture-backed home renovation startup, overseeing teams and cross-functional projects across sales, marketing, supply chain, HR, and finance. He also founded ParkDay, a direct-to-consumer picnic rental business in New York City, partnering with local social media influencers and expanding service to parks across Manhattan—all launched from his kitchen during the pandemic. He holds an MBA from Stanford University.
He is seeking to partner with an American business that has built a trusted, customer-centric service with longstanding relationships, high repeat engagement, and strong word-of-mouth referrals. The ideal company has a proven track record of profitability over at least three years, generates $1M or more in annual EBITDA, and demonstrates consistent year-over-year revenue growth of 7% or more, supported by recurring or repeat customer behavior. It should have a solid foundation and clear potential to scale. Just as importantly, he values a strong management team committed to continued growth, loyal and long-tenured employees, and a positive, values-driven culture where people genuinely enjoy coming to work.
