In the second half of 2024, Thomas Muyldermans joined the Wad Capital CEO-in-Residence program with the objective of acquiring a Belgian SME and ensuring a seamless generational transition. He has now completed the acquisition of family-owned Ausloos Verpakkingstechniek, a company with nearly 50 years of experience in designing and delivering advanced packaging solutions.
Since 1977, Ausloos has specialized in high-performance packaging machinery, including bagging systems, palletizing solutions, pallet wrapping, strapping, and complete turnkey packaging lines. By combining technical expertise, customized engineering, and strong partnerships with leading machine manufacturers such as Technipes, Essegi, and TOSA, Ausloos helps businesses optimize their packaging processes, improve efficiency, and ensure reliable, high-quality operations across industries including food, chemicals, agriculture, logistics, construction, and plastics. With a team of approximately 35 specialists, Ausloos has built nearly five decades of trusted relationships with customers such as Petronas, ForFarmers, Agristo, and Steinweg. The company generates approximately €18M in annual revenue and EBITDA of approximately €1.7M.
“Ausloos is the kind of company that can only be built over decades, and the Ausloos family did exactly that. Behind the name is a loyal team—many of whom have been with the company for more than 20 years—a strong and well-run organization, a customer base built on long-term relationships, and partnerships with the best specialists in the industry. My ambition is to honor that legacy and build the next chapter on the foundation they have created,” said Thomas.
The company’s strategy will focus on expanding its service and lifecycle support offering across its large installed base, strengthening partnerships with leading industry specialists, and continuing to invest in its experienced team and well-run organization.
