After climbing the corporate ladder for more than 17 years, and ultimately becoming responsible for a P&L across four countries while leading a team of 53 at Rémy Cointreau, Steven Bourgeois joined Wad Capital as a CEO-in-residence in September 2024. In less than 15 months, he successfully acquired the Belgian safety and fire protection company Alsec from the Omnisecur Group.
Founded in 1987, Alsec specializes in designing and installing customized security systems for both residential and commercial clients. Its core services include intrusion alarms, fire detection systems, access control solutions, intercom and videophone installations, and video surveillance. The company provides a fully tailored approach, offering engineering, equipment supply, technical support, project management, and maintenance services. In 2024, the company achieved an EBITDA of €0.5M.
Steven aims to leverage Alsec’s established market presence and deep expertise in integrated security solutions, capitalizing on the growing demand for advanced security infrastructure. Together, they intend to accelerate technological advancements and expand the company’s service reach.
