Viriato Capital, led by Miguel Costa Freire and Pablo Alvarez Guerra, has acquired Effisus – Excellence in Weatherproofing. The amount of the transaction is around €20M, and equity has been financed by various professional investors such as Arada Capital Partners, JB46, ONEtoONE Asset Management, Vonzeo Capital.
The company, specialized in energy efficiency and sustainability solutions for buildings, has offices in Famalicão, London and Dubai. It provides water and fire protection to façades and roofs, and among its clients are Apple’s headquarters in California, the iconic Museum of the Future and the Burj Al Arab hotel in Dubai, the Guggenheim Museum in Abu Dhabi, Google’s new headquarters in Dublin, the Santiago Bernabéu stadium in Madrid, Hudson Yards in New York, Battersea Power Station in London or and the Riyadh Metro in Saudi Arabia. The company closed 2023 with a turnover of more than €10M.
The duo SF, with experience and know-how acquired in global consultancy firms, such as McKinsey & Company, JP Morgan or Bain & Company, aims to enhance the company’s growth, strengthening its position in current markets and fostering the opening of additional markets.
