Velio Partners has officially launched to acquire and operate a single exceptional industrial services company in the United States. Founded by engineer and operator Gabriel Andrade, the SF aims to become a long-term steward of an established business while preserving its legacy and compounding its growth. The name Velio combines the French word vélo (“bicycle”) with the Italian io (“self”), reflecting Gabriel’s belief in the powerful partnership between people and machines, and his commitment to investing in the industrial infrastructure that keeps the world moving. Andrade is backed by more than 20 experienced investors, including Pacific Lake, Futaleufu Partners, Mosaic ETA, Tom & Dave, Housatonic Partners, WSC & Company, Ambit Partners, ETA Equity, TBD Investors, Granite Point Partners, The Cromwell Harbor, Brown Robin Partners, Estelio Partners and Warren Chan.
Andrade brings a combination of operating, engineering, and strategic consulting experience to his search. Over the past decade, he served as CEO of Corporación Inmobiliaria, a family business with a 70-year history in architecture, construction, and engineering, where he led a tenfold expansion of the company. During his tenure, he oversaw more than 50 projects totaling 645,000 square feet, launched three new engineering service divisions, integrated twelve property management companies into the platform, and developed two AI-powered software products that were later spun off as independent SaaS businesses. Earlier in his career, he worked as a strategy consultant advising some of Latin America’s largest infrastructure and energy companies, including Grupo Argos, Cementos Argos, Celsia, and Bechtel. He holds a Master’s in Management from Stanford Graduate School of Business.
Velio Partners is targeting profitable B2B industrial services businesses generating between $10-$50M in annual revenue, with EBITDA margins above 15%, recurring or contracted revenue, and annual growth exceeding 10%. The firm is particularly interested in companies operating in energy management services, manufacturing and distribution, and other specialized industrial services that support commercial, industrial, and utility infrastructure. Following an acquisition, Andrade plans to lead the company as CEO, driving long-term value creation through operational improvements, geographic expansion, investment in management and facilities, and selective add-on acquisitions while preserving the culture and legacy built by the current owner.
