After 15 years of experience in both engineering and investments, Guido Emanuele Fucci has decided to acquire and sustainably grow an Italian business over the long term. His SF, Vela Equity Partners, is supported by Istria Capital, Relay Investments, Vonzeo Capital, ONEtoONE Asset Management, Evolutiq, Search Capital Partners, Valmaris Private Investors, and numerous private investors and entrepreneurs, including Paolo Guida, Andrea Oldrini, Till Bossert, Jürgen Rilling, Loris Lanzellotti (Akiro Partners), and Alexander Kirn.
Engineer Guido began his professional journey at Saipem, where he managed more than 20 large-scale energy infrastructure projects across four continents, in countries such as Kazakhstan, the UK, the Netherlands, Nigeria, the Bahamas, the UAE, and Italy. He later transitioned into PE, joining Ambienta as a Principal. At this leading Italian PE firm, he contributed to multiple investments in Italian and international SMEs, evaluating more than 1,000 opportunities throughout his career. He holds a Master of Advanced Management from Yale School of Management and an MBA from IE Business School.
Guido seeks to acquire companies operating in resilient sectors with low cyclical exposure, supported by strong megatrends and long-term structural growth drivers. His focus is on fragmented markets, where consolidation opportunities can unlock significant value, and on businesses with low to moderate capital intensity, ensuring operational flexibility and efficient resource allocation. Target companies will demonstrate stable revenue, profitability, and cash generation, with solid competitive advantages, barriers to entry, and clear growth potential.
