Chiara van der Put has launched VDP Equity (short for Value Driven Partners) to acquire and lead an SME within the German Mittelstand that is undergoing succession or ownership transition. She has adopted a hybrid version of the SF model, backed by long-term partners and a family office.
Chiara describes herself as an entrepreneur at heart, an investor with vision, and a family-oriented person with a long-term mindset. Born in Cologne and raised in an entrepreneurial family, she began her career in investment banking at J.P. Morgan in London before transitioning into private equity. She first joined PSG, a global growth equity investor in software businesses, and later Verdane, a leading European private equity firm focused on tech-enabled companies. Over the course of her career, she led more than 15 transactions with a combined enterprise value exceeding €1.2 billion, gaining deep expertise in identifying exceptional businesses.
Chiara is now seeking to acquire an SME in the DACH region. While she maintains a broad interest across B2B industries, her previous investment background gives her a particular affinity for B2B vertical software and tech-enabled B2B services. She is targeting companies with EBITDA between €0.5M and €4M, aiming to partner with founders and families to ensure a successful generational transition.
