Launched in 2024 by Sorabh Dutta and Parsa Samavati, two longtime friends who met as classmates at the University of Calgary, Rumi Capital Partners is backed by a group of experienced institutional and private investors, including Sage Capital, Vonzeo Capital, Gestalt Capital, Applied Equity, Reframe Capital, Red Whale Capital, Woodward Capital, Integral Private Wealth, and Parkview Growth Partners.
The firm has just announced the acquisition of Delta Facilities Maintenance Inc. (DFM). Details of the transaction were not disclosed. Glen Silvestri (Sage Capital Partners), Amin Lalani (Maple Tree Capital), and Philip Sager (Partner at Bain & Company) have been appointed to the board of directors.
Founded in 1982 in Calgary, DFM is the largest third-party specialty aircraft cleaning partner in Canada, serving most major ground handlers and airlines nationwide. It has a national footprint, servicing six major airports. The company employs over 950 staff and services approximately 600 flights daily. In addition to its core aviation services—aircraft appearance, terminal cleaning, commercial cleaning, and disinfection fogging—DFM has a facility maintenance division that provides comprehensive janitorial services to industrial clients in the Calgary region.
