French entrepreneur Paul Comoy has launched Perennis with the aim of acquiring an SME to ensure its continuity, preserve its legacy, and support its long-term development. He successfully raised €420k in less than two months, oversubscribing the round and bringing together 16 investors across 12 units. These include French and international investors and entrepreneurs such as Innesto Partners, Istria Capital, Evolutiq, Relay Investments, ONEtoONE Asset Management, Peter’s Troop, Pitlane Capital, EPA Investissements, Colca Capital, Köllective Capital, CXP Capital Partners, Omer Ben Shach, Guy Solomon, David J. Jacq, Alain Jarre, and Pierre Legendre.
Paul brings eight years of experience at the intersection of high-level finance and entrepreneurship. He spent five years in Debt Capital Markets at Barclays in Paris, originating and structuring more than €60 billion in transactions for leading European corporates, and began his career in M&A at Credit Suisse, advising on complex financial institutions transactions. He then took the entrepreneurial leap by founding and leading Voltar, a climate-tech venture, over the past several years. A graduate of ESSEC Business School in Corporate Finance and a former national-level track-and-field athlete, Paul brings to his search a rare blend of financial firepower and entrepreneurial grit.
Paul is seeking to acquire a profitable French B2B company operating in a fragmented, low-cyclicality sector, with EBITDA above €1.5M, a high proportion of recurring revenue, and limited capital intensity. While his search is industry-agnostic, his initial focus will be on two broad areas: Business Services — including facility management, technical inspection and control, BPO, and technical services — and Technology, with a particular interest in managed IT services. Above all, Paul is drawn to businesses where people and purpose matter: companies with close-knit teams, loyal customer bases, and enduring track records.
