Sebastian Parr founded Pacifique Capital to combine his entrepreneurial drive with his ambition to excel as a CEO. He sees this as a critical time to invest, driven by a global transition toward cleaner energy and improved efficiency. Sebastian believes this transformation will be a significant growth driver over the next century, and has successfully rallied support from a diverse group of investors to back his mission of preserving and enhancing the legacy of an Australian business. Pacifique Capital’s investors include Search Fund Oz, SFClub, Spectra Investments, WayFinder Capital, City Tattersalls Group, Gerald Edelman, Steele Street Investments, Ruiz Family and AIJ Holdings.
With a background in engineering and an MBA from Columbia Business School, Sebastian brings extensive experience in advisory, asset management, and acquisitions across private equity, real estate, and banking. His international career spans roles at Santander in Chile, iPartners and the Australian Government in Australia, and Drake Real Estate Partners and Tikehau Capital in the US.
Pacifique Capital’s investment focus on services that support the energy transition represents one of the largest global investment opportunities of the decade, with an estimated $5 trillion in additional capital needed annually until 2030 to achieve global net-zero goals. To accelerate this transition, the search fund seeks to identify service providers that contribute to transforming Australia’s energy landscape by exploring untapped opportunities within key supply chain services. The investment approach is guided by a dual thesis focused on enhancing the efficiency of energy and material usage, supporting the deployment of infrastructure and the electrification grid, and reducing carbon emissions. This strategy spans five key verticals: energy, transport, real estate, industries, and agriculture. Target companies are expected to have a yearly EBITDA above A$2M, strong profit margins and a high percentage of recurring revenues from a diversified customer base.
