After a decade building his career at the intersection of operations, investing, and strategy across Asia, the Middle East, and Europe, Prakash Prodduturi returned to India to launch Origin40 Fund, an acquisition platform focused on mid-sized healthcare and technology businesses. He has secured support from investors in over 10 countries, including Kinderhook Partners, INSETA, Inversiones Cabiedes, Till Bossert & Alex Kirn, Ruiz Family, Ventus Capital Partners, BM Holdings, Hiten Varia, Le Fonds Capital, Manvendra Saxena (Mars Energy), Jose Moreno (Pivot Capital Fund), Gonzalo Carmona (Emotion), and several Indian and American family offices.
Prakash’s experience spans scaling multiple categories at Flipkart during its hypergrowth phase, advising clients on post-merger integration and private equity at McKinsey, and evaluating venture investments across India and Southeast Asia while also building products at Swiss Re. He has led teams in more than 15 countries, bringing both strategic insight and hands-on execution to diverse businesses. He holds an MBA from INSEAD.
He commented: “At Origin40, we are hyper-focused on technology and healthcare through an India-to-the-world lens. India exports over $250 billion annually across these sectors, reflecting strong global demand. India is now a top-five global private equity market, yet market buyout vehicles remain in their early stages. We intend to capitalize on this supply-demand mismatch by acquiring profitable, domain-led businesses with technology leverage and recurring revenue, and scaling them by refining GTM strategies, opening new markets through our global networks, and building on existing platforms.”
