NovETA (Novadvice Entrepreneurship Through Acquisition) backs exceptional entrepreneurs in acquiring and growing proven SMEs across Europe and North America. NovETA does not just provide capital but also co-invests, sits on boards, and stays close through every stage of the journey always driven by long-term partnerships, rigorous processes, and transparency.
With eight years of experience in this segment, the firm has backed around 100 searchers across Europe and North America and has participated in more than 20 acquisitions. NovETA is now accelerating its growth plan to further strengthen its position as a leading player in the industry.
As part of this strategy, the team has been expanded and now includes a dozen professionals, led by Marc Michiels and Maria Pardo. This seasoned team enables NovETA to remain one of the most hands-on investors in the sector, conducting in-depth analyses of each opportunity, maintaining a highly selective investment process, and supporting searchers throughout every stage of their journey until the exit, ultimately setting a benchmark for excellence in the field.
As Marc explained: “We always aim to have a seat on the board of the companies we invest in, limiting each professional’s involvement to a maximum of four boards. That is why we have currently selected 30 qualified professionals from among our investors, network, and team, ensuring that every searcher has access to the right expert for guidance and mentorship. We want to be seen as smart capital and an active partner.”
NovETA is structured in vintages with an investor’s horizon of 5 years. It has already deployed four vintages — two focused on Europe and two on North America — and expects to launch two new vehicles within the next 12 months.
Adrian Carniol, Managing Partner, confirmed that 2025 was an outstanding year for the firm, highlighted by two successful exits: one in Poland and another in Canada, which generated excellent IRRs of over 40%. In addition, NovETA expects to complete two to three more exits this year while maintaining an investment pace of six to eight acquisitions annually. The firm currently has a strong pipeline, with transactions nearing completion in the US, Canada, Poland, France, and Luxembourg, among other markets. The growing popularity of the asset class has also led NovETA to become increasingly selective. As an example, Adrian noted that the firm met and screened more than 50 potential new searchers during the first quarter of 2026 alone, considering that only 8 candidates have already passed the initial screening process. Among recent searchers backed by NovETA are Artemide Capital Partners, Backer Transmission, Norte Partners, JCTC Transmission, and Tilia Nachfolge GmbH.
