Launched in January 2024 by Xan Lowe and Benny Melville, Mentmore Capital Partners has announced the acquisition of Rowleys of Northwich, a family-run commercial vehicle contract hire and fleet management company based in Cheshire (UK). The previous owners, Richard and Paul Rowley, will remain involved during a significant transition period to support the new leadership. Debt financing for the acquisition was provided by Triplepoint.
Rowleys of Northwich, established over 44 years ago, is a leading UK provider of contract hire and fleet management services for commercial vehicles. Based in the North West of England, the company operates a fleet of over 500 vehicles, catering to a wide range of industries with tailored, high-quality transport solutions. Renowned for its exceptional customer service and comprehensive maintenance packages, Rowleys has built a strong reputation grounded in long-term client relationships and operational excellence. In 2024, the company employs 36 people and generates an estimated annual turnover between £5–10M, with a reported net profit of £1.162M last year.
