As a second-generation Cuban-American whose family immigrated with limited financial resources, Joshua Carmenate learned the value of hard work and perseverance from a young age. He founded Longview Street Partners (LSP) to pursue his vision of building enduring businesses by acquiring and operating exceptional B2B SaaS companies. He has partnered with world-class operators and investors, including Miramar Equity Partners, Shore Capital, Next Coast Legacy, The Operand Group, Hunter Search Capital, Applied Equity, Will Thorndike, Garret Levey, and Eric Giesecke, among others.
With over a decade of experience spanning private equity, growth investing, and operational finance, Joshua brings a unique blend of investor discipline and operational execution to his role as Managing Partner at LSP. Before founding LSP, he led Finance and Operations at Base64.ai, an AI-native SaaS company, and previously served as Head of FP&A and Strategic Finance at Muck Rack, where he built the company’s financial planning function and led M&A diligence. Earlier, he was Vice President at Arrowroot Capital Management, focusing on growth equity investments in B2B software, and held private equity roles at Welsh, Carson, Anderson & Stowe and Audax Group, executing numerous technology and healthcare transactions. He began his career at Churchill Asset Management and holds an MBA from The Wharton School.
He is focused on partnering with founders of exceptional B2B SaaS businesses that demonstrate strong recurring revenue and mission-critical software solutions. His ideal targets are vertical software companies serving specific industries or business segments, with $2.5MM+ ARR, clear product-market fit, and meaningful growth potential. He seeks businesses with strong unit economics, typically 60%+ gross margins at acquisition, and either profitable or on an immediate path to profitability. Key metrics include ARR of $2.5–7M+, ARR growth of 10%+ at acquisition, and ICP gross retention of 90%+ with net retention exceeding 100%. Ultimately, LSP looks for companies with an established brand in growing markets and significant opportunities to scale.
