LongView Owners is the second traditional SF in New Zealand

Following in the footsteps of Luke Taylor, founder of Acheron Capital, the country’s first traditional SF, which successfully acquired cybersecurity specialist SSS in 2023, Pran Dantanarayana has established LongView Owners to acquire a great Kiwi SME and invest in its long-term growth while preserving its legacy. He is backed by a group of aligned investors, entrepreneurs, and CEOs who share a passion for helping small businesses thrive. This group includes TTCER, Dorado Capital, Bietou Capital, Spectra Investments, Cabiedes Inversiones, Ambit Partners, Legate Partners, Pete Seligman, David Kelly, Pavan Vyas, Hesh Dantanarayana, Nicolas Williams, Rodger Douglas, among others.

Pran Dantanarayana has built a career spanning strategy consulting and operational leadership across New Zealand and the UK. He began his professional journey at Deloitte in the Strategy & Operations team. In 2019, he moved to London and entered the investment sector, working first at Oxford Seed Fund and then at CGE Partners. He later became Head of Strategy at Adzuna, a mid-market, PE-backed, tech-enabled services business, before joining Infogrid, where he led the integration of Aquicore. In 2023, Pran returned to New Zealand to lead the Wellington team at KPMG, supporting SME founders in growing the value of their businesses and preparing them for future sale. This experience gave him a first-hand view of the succession challenges facing great Kiwi companies and inspired him to acquire and operate one himself.

We are looking to acquire a well-established, mission-critical business based in New Zealand, with over $5M in revenue, $1M+ in EBITDA, healthy margins above 15%, and a strong track record of profitability and customer retention. Ideally, the owner is proud of what they’ve built and is now considering stepping back from day-to-day operations to focus on the next chapter of their life.
