After spending his career working hand-in-hand with business owners to design and implement succession plans, Hunter Daniels has decided to bring that experience to the operator’s seat. He founded Lone Pine Succession to steward one exceptional U.S. business into its next chapter. He is backed by a group of experienced investors, operators, and advisors, including Cerralvo Capital, Pacific Lake Partners, M2O, TTCER Partners, The Cromwell Harbor Partnership, Legate Partners, Kinderhook Partners, Ventura Search Capital, and Halstatt Legacy Partners.
Hunter began his career in finance with JCPenney and Northern Trust’s Asset Servicing division, building strong foundations in structured products and corporate financial planning. He later joined Northern Trust Corporation, where he rose to Second Vice President and advised entrepreneurs and family business owners on succession, M&A, and legacy planning strategies. More recently, he supported the SFs Cinnamon Hill Partners and Magnificent Legacy Capital, conducting market research, investment thesis development, and acquisition due diligence in industries such as healthcare. He also gained hands-on operating experience at Quality Network Solutions, an IT managed services provider backed by NextGen Growth Partners, where he partnered directly with the CEO on service delivery improvements and M&A evaluation.
Lone Pine Succession is focused on blue-collar, B2B service businesses in the U.S., the kinds of companies that keep schools, hospitals, and businesses running every day. Areas of interest include environmental services, logistics, and facility and commercial services. The ideal target company should have revenues in the range of $10–50M and EBITDA of $2–7M.
