Linta Partners is preparing its second close in September 2026, which is expected to bring total commitments above €10M. This follows the fund’s first close in April 2026 with €6.5M in commitments, completed within three months with a focused group of strategic LPs. Linta Partners is targeting a deliberately focused fund size of €20M.
Founded by Michael Roecker, Linta Partners is a specialized investment fund focused on the traditional SF model. The fund backs exceptional future owner-operators acquiring profitable European small and medium-sized companies in succession-driven transactions.
Already fully operational, Linta Partners has made 13 SF investments, with a clear focus on Europe. The fund has backed SFs across Germany, Italy, Spain, France, Poland, Portugal, and Switzerland. These include B2R Italian Investments, Logos Equity Partners, Rockfront Capital, Vitis Capital, Virrey Partners, Apex Partners, Vauka Partners, Continuum Capital, Tosium Capital, Hexagon Capital, Trolega, and BrennPoint, among others.
Linta targets profitable SMEs, typically with €1.5–5M in EBITDA, resilient cash flows, recurring or repeatable revenues, moderate capex requirements, and succession-driven ownership situations. The fund aims to invest in approximately 40 searchers and around 20 SME acquisitions over time.
Michael Roecker’s background combines hands-on Mittelstand operating experience, entrepreneurship, and private equity-backed value creation. Early in his career, he gained operating experience in a German family-owned SME. He later founded and successfully exited a company to Waterland Private Equity and subsequently led hands-on acquisitions as CEO of a PE-backed buy-and-build platform. Earlier in his career, he worked at Bain & Company.
“For me, Linta is a very natural continuation of the path I have taken over the last years,” said Michael Roecker, Founding and Managing Partner of Linta Partners. “I have seen succession, entrepreneurship, and ownership from several angles: as an operator, as a founder, and as a PE-backed CEO. The SF model brings these elements together in a very powerful way. It allows talented entrepreneurs to acquire and build resilient SMEs, while giving business owners a thoughtful succession solution.”
Linta is supported by a Senior Advisor group with deep investment, operating, and entrepreneurial experience. The group includes Hannes Braendli, Partner at Bain & Company; Canute Dalmasse, single-family office CIO and former Partner at Goldman Sachs; and Daniel Herter and Sebastian Saeuberlich, Co-Founders and GPs of Prom12, a successful small-cap private equity firm.
With its first close completed, strong GP alignment, and early portfolio momentum, Linta Partners is currently preparing its second close in September 2026 and continues to engage with selected investors and exceptional SF entrepreneurs across Europe.
