Founded in 2025 in Berlin by entrepreneur and investor Michael Röcker, Linta Partners is an entrepreneur-led fund of SFs focused on empowering the next generation of entrepreneurial successors. The name “Linta” comes from the Old German word for “linden tree”, a symbol of deep roots, longevity, and organic growth. These are not abstract values: they define how Linta invests. The firm backs searchers and entrepreneurial successors acquiring profitable, established SMEs across Europe, prioritizing companies built for generations, not quarters.
Before founding Linta, Michael spent more than 15 years building, scaling, and leading both digital ventures and traditional mid-market companies. His journey began as Managing Director of Heilemann, a traditional German Mittelstand manufacturer, where he doubled EBITDA in just two years, a rare hands-on turnaround experience at the intersection of industrial discipline and entrepreneurial energy. He then co-founded and led LionsHome, a European home & living platform that was successfully acquired by Waterland Private Equity. Following the exit, he became Group CEO of a European buy-and-build platform for digital publishing, again backed by Waterland, where he led M&A, integration, and operational value creation across multiple European markets.
This blend of digital scale-up, traditional industry, and private equity experience forms the backbone of Linta’s philosophy: combining operator DNA with institutional rigor.
Linta Partners aims to build a diversified portfolio of around 20 profitable SMEs within five years. The fund primarily targets Europe with selective U.S. exposure, investing between €300K and €1.2M per deal, and is open to bridging equity gaps where needed.
What sets Linta apart is its active, entrepreneurial approach. Röcker’s team engages closely with searchers from fundraising and sourcing to acquisition and company building. The fund’s structure emphasizes aligned interests, with a significant personal capital commitment from the founder, alongside a growing base of entrepreneurs, family offices, and PE professionals as LPs. Unlike other funds adopting a purely financial stance, Linta is built and led by a practitioner who has lived the entire entrepreneurial cycle. This translates into several distinct advantages:
- Entrepreneur-led mindset: close collaboration with searchers, not passive oversight.
- Full-cycle experience: direct operational and M&A expertise brought to each investment.
- Speed and conviction: decisions made quickly and directly by the GP.
- Active partnership: support beyond capital, focused on long-term value creation.
- Strong governance: guidance from an Advisory Board of small-cap PE professionals with deep European experience.
Since its launch, Linta Partners has already completed 5 initial searcher investments in Italy (B2R Italian Investments, Vitis Capital), Switzerland/France (Logos Equity Partners), Poland (undisclosed), and the U.S. (Alka Oaks Partners), with 5 more commitments underway in Germany, the Netherlands, and Spain.
