After nearly three years at Gestalt Capital, Brandon Cooper, an entrepreneur at heart, has decided to transition from investor to operator, pursuing his dream of acquiring and growing a single outstanding Canadian business. He has launched Zone 3 Capital, supported by a group of partners, including Gestalt Capital, Sage Capital Partners, Innesto Partners, Endurance Search Partners, Reframe Capital, Brian Glanz, Bill Irwin, Dmitri Ivanov, Castle Holdings, Martell Capital Partners, Colca Capital, Karan Phadke, and Colin Wong.
Growing up in a family bakery north of Toronto, Brandon learned firsthand that successful entrepreneurship is rooted in resilience and people. He began his career as an entrepreneur, launching Inversify, a platform that helped students and recent graduates find junior-level jobs, collaborate on startup ideas, and build their networks. After moving beyond the initial idea of his marketplace, he gained experience at EY and BDO before joining Gestalt Capital, where he specialized in acquiring and operating companies. That experience reinforced his desire to own and run a business, not just invest in one.
Brandon is seeking a single acquisition with $2–5M in EBITDA, in partnership with a business owner ready for a transition and who values a committed, driven individual dedicated to preserving the foundation they’ve built. He is particularly excited by opportunities in business services, healthcare, education, environmental services, industrial services, and energy, while remaining open to exceptional businesses outside these core sectors.
