Dan Fox believes every great business has a story worth continuing. He has launched Fox Legacy Partners with the goal of treating business owners’ companies as enduring enterprises built on trust, hard work, and deep customer relationships, and acquiring and growing one for the long term. He is backed by leading investors, including Miramar Equity Partners, Paltus Capital, The Nashton Company, Highland Creek Partners, Parkland Group Industries, Aspect Investors, WSC & Company, Legate Partners, Ventura Search Capital, and Integral.
Dan is an aspiring entrepreneur and MBA graduate of Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management, with a background spanning business valuation, M&A, and lower middle-market investing. He began his career at KPMG, specializing in business valuation, before joining CDK Global’s corporate development team, where he worked across the M&A process. He then spent more than three years at TPG Twin Brook Capital Partners, underwriting more than $1 billion in investments and managing a portfolio of over $590M. In 2025, Dan transitioned into the ETA ecosystem, joining Three Meadows Partners before working with Green Acres Lawn Care, a search-acquired business, on operational and strategic initiatives. Growing up around his grandfather’s industrial distribution business, Dan developed an early appreciation for entrepreneurship and the commitment required to build a successful company.
Dan is looking to acquire a stable, profitable small-to-mid-sized U.S. business, ideally in B2B services or distribution, with $1–5 million in annual earnings, a track record of positive cash flow, consistent margins, and predictable performance over at least three years. He favors businesses operating in growing, resilient markets, with diversified customer bases, low churn, and capable management teams already in place. Dan is particularly interested in partnering with owners looking to retire, take some liquidity off the table, or step back from day-to-day operations, with a flexible transaction structure and a smooth transition to ensure business continuity.
