Yoshifumi Ito discovered the S model during his MBA at IE Business School, where he served as President of the IE Search Fund Club. Inspired by his vision of revitalizing the Japanese economy by passing Japanese SMEs on to the next generation, he launched Granvia Partners as a traditional SF in Japan. He has secured the support of a broad network of Japanese investors, including executives of publicly listed companies, SME owners and executives, startup founders, private equity professionals, and Japanese SF investors such as ETA Partners and NYC Corporation.
After graduating from the Faculty of Law at Keio University, Yoshifumi spent approximately eight years working in sales and corporate planning at The Dai-ichi Life Insurance Company and at the Ministry of Finance. At the Ministry of Finance, he was responsible for government bond planning and promoted the attractiveness of the Japanese economy internationally through dialogues with investors from more than 15 countries. Through these diverse experiences, he developed broad practical expertise across finance, public administration, and business management.
Based in Tokyo, Yoshifumi plans to target SMEs facing business succession challenges that also demonstrate strong growth potential and opportunities for roll-up strategies. He is particularly interested in sectors such as manufacturing (including toys and fan merchandise), stage design and exhibition planning, production and operations services, building maintenance, and hotel cleaning services.
