After completing his MBA at COPPEAD/CEIBS, Pedro Dorea worked at Istria Capital, a Spanish fund specializing in international SF investments, with over 40 acquisitions worldwide. During his time there, he gained extensive experience with the SF model and decided to launch his own vehicle, Minerva Capital, to acquire and run a mid-sized private company in Brazil. He has successfully secured backing from 18 experienced and renowned investors, including of course Istria Capital. Among the investors are notable Brazilian entities such as Kyr Capital, Brainvest, KVIV Ventures, Spectra Investments, Gulf Capital Partners, TMB3 Fund, as well as private investors and former searchers like Gabriel Ronacher, Andre Asti, Julian Tonioli, and William Bonifacio. On the international front, he brought together Cabiedes Inversiones, Soare Group, Tobias Raeber, the Ruiz family, Steele Street Investments, Marc Bartomeus & José María Clotet, and The Cromwell Harbor Partnership to join Minerva Capital.
Before entering the SF industry, Pedro gained substantial experience both in Brazil and abroad in the retail, industrial, services, and consulting sectors, achieving significant results in various roles. His first leadership position in a medium-sized company was in 2017 at the B2B chemical group Nitro, where he was responsible for an international commercial project that more than doubled commercial results in a short period.
Minerva Capital will target a company in the B2B & Services sector with annual revenues of up to R$150 million and a profitability margin of at least 20%.
