Castellum Equity Partners is a recently launched venture driven by a clear mission: acquire an SME with strong foundations in the sectors of excellence of Italian industry, to transform it into a leader through strategic management, operational improvement, and internationalization.
The initiative is led by Stefano Cattapan, a veteran of Citi investment banking. With approximately 15 years of professional experience developed in senior roles in London and Milan, he has a deep understanding of M&A, strategic advisory, and international business development. Over the course of his career, he has handled more than 50 transactions, completing deals for an aggregate value of more than $100 billion in various sectors in Europe, the United States and the Middle East.
Castellum Equity Partners is supported by a network of prominent investors, including institutional funds such as Arada Capital Partners, JB46, ONEtoONE Asset Management in Spain and Akiro Partners, SFClub and Search Capital Partners in Italy, as well as a group of former searchers and successful entrepreneurs and top managers.
The investment partnership focuses on Italian SMEs that possess strong market positions, stable cash flows, and significant growth potential. The ideal target company operates in a niche market within the broader industrial, manufacturing, or services sectors, and has opportunities for value creation through operational enhancements, digital transformation, international expansion through organic or acquisitions. Additionally, Castellum focuses on targets which can act as aggregating platforms to implement a buy-and-build strategy in a fragmented market.
