Gilmore Bridge connects Charlestown, home to Bunker Hill Community College, with Cambridge, home to MIT. From 2009 to 2015, Pedro Russell crossed it daily while pursuing his part-time associate’s degree. For him, the name he chose for his SF symbolizes lifelong learning and career growth. Boston-based Gilmore Bridge is backed by a diverse team of investors—including M2O, TTCER Partners, Shore Capital Partners, Futaleufu Partners, Next Coast Legacy, Heritage Holding, and Archipelago Capital Partners—alongside operators, academic leaders, and subject matter experts in education and workforce development.
Pedro has over 15 years of experience across various roles, from farmhand and bartender to consultant, business owner, and investor. He began his career at RSM, advising private equity-backed firms on value creation, and later led strategic initiatives at The Cengage Group to enhance sales and operations. Before his MBA, he spearheaded business development and undergraduate operations at Juno, an education finance company. At MIT Sloan, he co-founded New Frontiers ETA, a program that helps students acquire and run small businesses. His contributions earned him a faculty position, where he teaches small-business acquisition.
His mission is to unlock human potential by acquiring and leading an exceptional education or workforce business into its next chapter. He is particularly interested in subsegments such as mission-critical businesses that enable learning, K-12 education, lifelong learning software and services, brick-and-mortar early childhood and trade schools, software and service companies where human capital is paramount, and businesses in critical industries essential to life and prosperity.
