After completing her MBA at Stanford, Kassidy Welte Sorensen founded Balboa Growth Partners to acquire an exceptional business in Southern California. Her husband, Scott Sorensen, currently working in private equity at Windjammer Capital Investors, has joined the journey in an advisory role. Kassidy raised her SF from entrepreneurs and investors who mentored her during her MBA, including Peterson Partners, Graham Weaver, TTCER Partners, Futaleufu Partners, Peter Kelly, Tom Cassutt, David Lazier, Search Fund Partners, Hunter Search Capital, Delaney Steele, Tom Jackson, Clayton Sachs, Luka Salamunic, Brigid Mulcahy, Brittany Collins, and Miles Collins.
Kassidy has a strong background in finance, product management, and small business support. Raised in Las Vegas, she developed a passion for small businesses through her parents’ work in healthcare, insurance, and construction. After a two-year mission in Japan, she began her career as a product manager at Capital One, leading major initiatives in credit applications, automation, and small business credit solutions. She later gained experience at Amazon and Condor Airlines, focusing on machine learning and operational improvements.
She is looking to acquire and manage a company for the long term, with the goal of accelerating its growth through product strategy, AI, and software advancements.
