Resilient Search Partners, a SF founded by financial expert Ebert Terblanche, has acquired 100% of the Australian herbicide manufacturer Granular Products. The transaction involved experienced family-business and private investors, as well as leading SF investors such as WayFinder Capital, Scipio Holding, and Search Fund Oz. The enterprise value was approximately AUS$30 million, with a nearly 50-50 split between equity and leverage.
Granular Products is an Australian company specializing in the development and production of high-quality granular herbicides. With branches in Rockhampton, Queensland, and Orange, New South Wales, the company focuses on enhancing farm productivity by offering herbicide formulations that minimize logistical costs and environmental impact. Their products are designed for precise application using aerial methods, including helicopters, planes, and drones, ensuring effective weed control with no spray drift or off-target damage.
Founded in 2005 by Graham Barrett, the company leverages his extensive experience in agriculture and aerial application to remain at the forefront of herbicide innovation. Granular Products serves farmers across Australia with customized solutions and professional advice. The group’s turnover and EBITDA are approximately AUS$20 million and AUS$5 million, respectively.
