Self-funded SF Ascend Equity Partners, led by Cameron Craig, has announced the acquisition of software company RouteGenie. Next Coast Legacy and Northspring Partners are among the investors backing the transaction.
Headquartered in Buffalo, New York, RouteGenie is a leading software platform for non-emergency medical transportation (NEMT) and paratransit. The company supports hundreds of transportation providers, brokers, and healthcare organizations in streamlining scheduling, routing, dispatching, and billing—helping them operate more efficiently, reduce costs, and improve access to care in the communities they serve.
Cameron commented: “It’s a space that is evolving fast, transforming lives, and one where better technology can make a profound difference. With more than 11,000 Americans turning 65 every day—and with chronic illnesses and barriers to care on the rise across all age groups—the need for innovation in healthcare access has never been greater. Making transportation more reliable, efficient, and cost-effective is essential… and that’s where RouteGenie comes in.”
