Pablo Abril Martín and Borja Mericaechevarría Sinha, two professionals with proven track records in operations and acquisitions who completed their MBA together at INSEAD, have launched AMS Socios to partner with the founder of a family-owned SME undergoing a transition. They are backed by a trusted group of experienced entrepreneurs and investors who provide both committed capital and operational expertise, including Istria Capital, Alza Capital, Relay Investments, Orca Equity Partners, evolutiq, Ambit Partners, Innesto Partners, the Ruiz family, Inderhabs, Kinderhook Partners, Dellin Investments, and Jürgen Rilling, among others.
Borja brings extensive experience in private equity, M&A, and SME financing, having spent nearly six years at Resilience Partners, where he evaluated, structured, and executed numerous growth and acquisition transactions across a wide range of industries. He also gained additional experience at Nazca Capital and previously worked in M&A advisory at Dok Capital and in syndicated finance at BBVA. Alongside his investment career, Borja co-founded Tempo App, a digital platform for the hospitality industry, giving him firsthand entrepreneurial and operational experience. He combines rigorous financial analysis with a long-term value creation mindset.
Pablo has a strong background in strategy consulting, digital transformation, and business innovation, having advised leading corporations across Europe and Latin America during his time at Mastercard and previously at Boston Consulting Group. Throughout his career, he has led growth, modernization, and operational transformation initiatives while also helping startups scale their businesses. With an engineering background, Pablo combines strong analytical skills with a hands-on execution mindset and a genuine entrepreneurial spirit. He complements Borja’s financial and investment expertise with strategic vision and operational leadership.
AMS Socios is sector-agnostic, prioritizing businesses with recurring revenue, mission-critical products or services, strong specialization or clear competitive differentiation, and primarily B2B business models. Their goal is to preserve the founder’s legacy by building on what has made the business successful while assuming direct operational leadership to take it to the next level through long-term strategies focused on organic growth, professionalization, digital transformation, and expansion.
