Engineer Gilles Rieu, an INSEAD MBA graduate, has founded 7Iron Capital, a new French SF focused on acquiring and growing a successful SME. He has secured backing from a strong network of French and international investors, including Relay Investments Europe, EPA Investissements, Moonbase Global, Novadvice, Arvest, SHEF Holding, Secways, Peter’s Troop, Sillage Partners, Alain Jarre, Frank and John Kenny, Iberganma Inversiones, CIREOS, Ryton Equity, Mitiska, TMB3, and SAR Technologies International.
A seasoned executive with deep expertise in the aerospace and industrial sectors, as well as corporate strategy, Gilles Rieu most recently served as General Manager at EQUIP’AERO, where he led operations and strategic growth. Previously, he worked as a Senior Advisor in Aerospace, specializing in strategy, restructuring, commercial management, and business diversification. His career includes key leadership roles at Expleo Group, Safran Group, and Saint-Gobain, along with experience in business development and procurement at SMC and Ariane Group. With a strong track record in sales, strategic expansion, and business transformation, Gilles has consistently delivered results in complex and competitive industries.
7Iron Capital is targeting the acquisition of a well-established SME with 20 to 120 employees, with the goal of fostering sustainable growth while maintaining the company’s core identity. Gilles is industry-agnostic and is conducting a nationwide search across France’s regions.
