Antonio del Valle Sierra has launched AVS Capital, a Mexican SF, aimed at identifying opportunities in industries poised to leverage Mexico’s nearshoring trend. 15 investors have supported him, including the 3 Mexicans leading institutions Alza Capital Partners, Cerralvo Capital and Ventura Search Capital and many private investors such as Jose Pablo Fernandez or Benjamin Estrella, among others. From abroad, he attracted capital from Spectra Investments, JB46, Itaca Capital Partners, 9T Capital, León Bartolomé and Scott Asen.
Antonio boasts a diverse background in textiles, finance, and strategic consulting. His career commenced at McKinsey & Company, where he contributed to projects spanning various industries. Subsequently, he assumed key senior management and board positions within a Mexican textile firm, achieving a noteworthy doubling of EBITDA over a two-year period. Antonio played a pivotal role in the acquisition and successful integration of a major Mexican fashion retailer, demonstrating strategic acumen amidst pandemic-related challenges. Possessing a keen eye for opportunities, he spearheaded numerous M&A processes, showcasing proficiency in due diligence and negotiation.
While AVS Capital remains industry-agnostic, its primary focus lies on services-oriented companies, encompassing sectors such as commercialization, education, financial services, healthcare, logistics, as well as industrial and consumer goods. Antonio plans to drive growth and specialization by embracing industry 4.0 policies and technologies within his company. Industries such as agriculture, auto parts manufacturing, aerospace manufacturing, medical devices, and chemicals stand out as prime beneficiaries of the tailwinds generated by the nearshoring trend.
